Description of Program and Relief
Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
Alabama provides TANF to eligible families. Although no specific guidance has been issued with respect to COVID-19, affected families may qualify if they meet eligibility requirements (below). The amount of cash benefit will depend on the applicant’s family size and region of the state in which the family resides.
