Description of Program and Relief
The Hebrew Free Loan Society of New Jersey
The Hebrew Free Loan Society of New Jersey is providing interest-free loans of up to $7,500 to Jewish residents of Bergen, Essex, Morris, Monmouth, Middlesex, Passaic, Sussex, and Union Counties who are facing financial challenges caused by the COVID-19 outbreak. These loans are intended to address lost wages resulting from an inability to work, child care costs associated with school closures, small business losses, and medical costs.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions
Applicants must:

Be Jewish; and

Reside in Bergen, Essex, Morris, Monmouth, Middlesex, Passaic, Sussex, or Union County

Borrowers must have the ability to repay the loan and will be required to provide post-dated checks in the full amount. Each loan must have at least one cosigner (two for home improvement and business loans), and the cosigner must live in New Jersey.
