During the COVID-19 outbreak, Meals on Wheels of San Francisco is preparing and delivering shelf-stable meal boxes to homebound seniors.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

To be eligible for services, individuals must:

  • Reside in San Francisco; and

  • Be 60 or older.

Additional factors contributing to eligibility include whether the individual:

  • Is homebound;

  • Is unable to prepare meals or shop;

  • Recently spent time in a hospital or has ongoing health problems; or

  • Primarily lives alone or with a caregiver.

Individuals, family members, or caregivers can apply for meals to be home-delivered to homebound seniors by calling the San Francisco Department of Disability and Aging Services’ Information, Referral, and Intake Line.
