Paul, Weiss is advising Shopify Inc., a provider of essential internet infrastructure for commerce, in its $2.1 billion cash-and-stock acquisition of fulfillment technology provider Deliverr, Inc. The acquisition is expected to provide simplicity and scale to millions of merchants and remove the complexity of fragmented supply chain management. The addition of Deliverr, which ships over a million orders per month across the U.S., will more than double the size of Shopify’s fulfillment team with talent that is steeped in the logistics industry.
The Paul, Weiss team includes corporate partners Adam Givertz, Austin Pollet and Ian Hazlett; executive compensation partner Jean McLoughlin and counsel Lisa Krausz Eisenberg; intellectual property partners Claudine Meredith-Goujon and Jonathan Ashtor and counsel Michael Kurzer; litigation partners Jeannie Rhee, Andrew Finch and Joshua Soven, and counsel Steven Herzog; tax partners Lindsay Parks and Scott Sontag and counsel Kevin Colan; antitrust counsel Marta Kelly and Jared Nagley; international trade counsel Richard Elliott; and environmental counsel William O’Brien.
