Qualcomm Receives Unsolicited $130 Billion Proposal from Broadcom

Paul, Weiss is representing wireless technology leader Qualcomm Incorporated in connection with an unsolicited proposal from Singapore-based chipmaker Broadcom Limited. Broadcom’s proposed cash-and-stock acquisition values Qualcomm at $130 billion, including $25 billion in net debt. The Qualcomm Board of Directors will assess the proposal in order to pursue the course of action that is in the best interests of Qualcomm shareholders. Paul, Weiss is also representing Qualcomm in its pending $47 billion acquisition of NXP Semiconductors N.V., announced in October 2016.
