CBS to Merge With Viacom, Creating $40 Billion Company

Paul, Weiss is advising the special committee of the board of directors of CBS Corp. in its merger with Viacom to form ViacomCBS Inc. The combined company will have an enterprise value of more than $40 billion and will bring together some of the most iconic names in media, including CBS News, Nickelodeon, Showtime, BET, Comedy Central, MTV and Paramount. The deal is expected to close by the end of 2019.
