Paul, Weiss was recognized by the 2023 Canadian Law Awards in the “M&A Deal of the Year” category for its role advising Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd., a Canadian mining company and majority-owned subsidiary of Rio Tinto International Holdings Ltd., in its $6.6 billion acquisition by Rio Tinto of the approximately 49% of Turquoise Hill shares that Rio Tinto did not already own.
The Canadian Law Awards recognize the most noteworthy matters, law firms, legal departments and lawyers in Canada over the past year. Winners were announced at an awards ceremony on May 11.
