Mark F. Mendelsohn and Marilyn Sobel participated in Paul, Weiss's
annual seminar series in Canada: "Update on U.S. Legal Developments
affecting Canadian Companies." More than 100 clients and friends
attended the seminars held in Montreal and Toronto on January 17
and 19, which were moderated by Andrew. Adam discussed M&A
developments and recent Delaware decisions; Mark spoke about the
FCPA and its implications for Canadian companies; Marilyn discussed
acquiring assets in cross-border bankruptcies and the lessons from
Nortel; and Chris spoke about recent SEC developments affecting
Canadian companies.
