In Evenwel v. Abbott, the U.S. Supreme Court held that the "One Person, One Vote" principle under the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment allows states to use total population, not just total voting-eligible population, in drawing legislative districts. In this video, litigation partner Bob Atkins and associate Pietro Signoracci discuss the history of the principle and the significance of the court's ruling.
