Litigation partner Gregory Laufer was quoted in a Reuters article, “SPACs Under the Microscope as Lawsuits Mount.” The article discusses increased litigation involving special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs) and ways that lawyers are working to mitigate litigation risks amid a wave of securities class actions and heightened SEC scrutiny.
One of the ways to avoid SPAC-related lawsuits is to ensure that disclosures "robustly and comprehensively" lay out the risks of the deal, Gregory says.
