Litigation partner Susanna Buergel will participate in a webcast titled "Protecting the Securities Markets: Comparing and Contrasting Public and Private Enforcement" as part of the Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossmann Webcast Series for Institutional Investors. Susanna, along with Harvey Pitt, CEO of Kalorama Partners LLC and former SEC Chairman, and James Cox, Brainerd Currie Professor of Law at Duke University, will discuss recent successes and failures of both government regulators and private securities plaintiffs in the wake of the credit crisis, as well as notable decisions and verdicts in certain high-profile cases. The webcast will take place on January 17.
