John Carlin to Discuss the Latest Developments in Cybersecurity Law and Policy With IAPP and Top Adobe Officer

Cybersecurity & Data Protection Co-Chair John Carlin will participate in a LinkedIn Live broadcast, “Cybersecurity: Heightened Legal Risk Requires New Expertise,” hosted by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) in connection with its newly launched Cybersecurity Law Center. John will be joined by IAPP’s Managing Director of the Law Center Jim Dempsey and Adobe’s Vice President, Chief Cybersecurity Legal and Privacy Officer Nubiaa Shabaka to discuss the latest U.S. cybersecurity law and policy developments. They will cover topics including ransomware updates, the Securities and Exchange Commission’s disclosure rules, state legislation and recent regulatory enforcement actions.

IAPP’s Cybersecurity Law Center provides opportunities for lawyers and other privacy professionals to engage with each other and learn how their organizations can comply with heightened cybersecurity requirements. John Carlin and Jim Dempsey are co-authors of the second edition of Cybersecurity Law Fundamentals, which is a foundational resource for the center.

The event will be held on LinkedIn on October 1 at 12 p.m. ET.
