- December 14, 2022
Paul, Weiss was once again ranked as “highly recommended” by Global Competition Review (GCR) in its 2023 “GCR 100” lists in the New York and Washington, D.C., regions. Litigation partners Andrew Finch, Ken Gallo, Josh Soven and Aidan Synnott were spotlighted as mainstays of the antitrust team.
GCR highlighted the New York office’s involvement in multiple antitrust merger and dispute matters, including advising Continental Grain in its joint acquisition, alongside Cargill, of chicken producer Sanderson Farms; helping secure unconditional antitrust clearance for MGM in its sale to Amazon; and helping Sprit Airlines secure clearance of its acquisition by JetBlue, among several others.
GCR also noted the D.C. office’s work on several highly significant matters, including our defense of Amazon in two massive purported consumer class actions challenging its pricing policies; Apple in its antitrust dispute with Epic Games; and Goodyear Tire & Rubber in securing approval for its $2.8 billion acquisition of Cooper Tire & Rubber, as well as Mastercard and other major matters. The GCR 100 is an annual comprehensive list of the world’s best competition practices.
