Description of Program and Relief

Hazard Pay and Compensatory Time for Front-Line City Workers

Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms has issued an executive order that provides (1) hazard pay of $500 per month for front-line workers employed by the City of Atlanta through December 31, 2020 and (2) the accumulation of Hazard Pay Compensatory Time for leave that must be exhausted before requiring the worker to exhaust any other available employee leave (i.e., accrued annual leave, sick leave, etc.).

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

Available to front-line workers employed by the City of Atlanta, including those working in sworn public safety, watershed, aviation, transportation, inspection, and parks and recreation departments.
