Description of Program and Relief

Southern Smoke Emergency Relief Fund

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Southern Smoke Foundation is providing funding to owners and employees of restaurants, bars, or restaurant or bar suppliers that are faced with unforeseen expenses that cannot or will not be covered by insurance. The Foundation is also operating a website listing other helpful resources for individuals impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak.

Eligibility Requirements/Restrictions

To qualify, individuals must have proof of employment in the food and beverage industry for a minimum of 6 months and an average of at least 30 hours per week (pay stubs and W-2s are acceptable).

Individuals must complete an online application which includes a statement of need, personal info worksheet, employment history form, and worker stability survey. Only those who are unable to be compensated by insurance should apply.
