Description of Program and Relief

Prince George's County COVID-19 Hourly Employee Assistance Fund

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, Employ Prince George’s has established a COVID-19 Hourly Employee Assistance Fund to provide cash cards of up to $200 to hourly workers that have been laid off due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Various retailers, grocers, and restaurants in Prince George’s County are offering discounts on purchases made with the cash cards.

To qualify for the cash cards, individuals must be:

  • A Prince George’s County resident; and

  • An hourly worker who earned less than $19 an hour and has been laid off.
