EXPERIENCE

Of counsel in the Corporate Department, Steven Landers concentrates his practice in the fields of arbitration and litigation of complex international disputes. Both in the United States and abroad, Mr. Landers has had extensive experience in complex multinational litigation and arbitration, representing numerous multinational corporations and their European subsidiaries or affiliates in connection with intellectual property and entertainment disputes; banking disputes; contests for corporate control; cross-border sequestration of assets; securities law and antitrust litigation and counseling; and major matters involving the oil and gas, coal and construction industries.

Mr. Landers is a member of the International Bar Association, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and was chairman of the President's Council of the American Chamber of Commerce in France. He was appointed general counsel to the New York State Executive Advisory Committee on Sentencing (1978-1979) by Governor Hugh Carey, and was later named by the Governor as secretary to the New York State Advisory Commission on the Administration of Justice (1981-1983). The Appellate Division, First Department, also appointed Mr. Landers to the Departmental Disciplinary Committee (1980-1984), which oversees complaints of professional misconduct by attorneys in Manhattan and the Bronx.

He is a member of the Paris and New York Bars, and speaks French and English.
