A partner elect in the Corporate Department and a member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group, Michael primarily focuses on public and private company transactions. His practice includes counseling clients on mergers, joint ventures, asset acquisitions and divestitures with a specific focus on digital infrastructure.

Michael was recognized in Texas’ Best Lawyers as “One to Watch” for 2023 and 2024 and in New York’s Best Lawyers as “One to Watch” in 2025 for his work in M&A.

  • American Tower in its $3.5 billion acquisition of InSite
  • Funds and affiliates managed by Apollo Global Management in an investment of
    $11 billion to acquire from Intel Corporation a 49% equity interest in a joint venture entity related to Intel’s Fab 34
  • Atlantic Aviation in its acquisition of three fixed-base operations at Omaha, Nebraska; Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina; and
    Hartford, Connecticut
  • Blackstone Infrastructure Partners in its acquisition of a minority interest in NIPSCO
  • Canada Pension Plan Investment Board in its approximately $843 million (C$1.2 billion) investment in Tallgrass Energy
  • DigitalBridge in its:
    • acquisition of Landmark Dividend
    • acquisition of Fibernow (f/k/a OpticalTel)
  • KKR & Co. in its:
    • $3.37 billion acquisition of a non-controlling, 20% interest in Sempra Infrastructure Partners
    • acquisition of the fiber optic infrastructure business from Entel, alongside Telefónica-backed ON*NET Fibra
    • acquisition of a majority stake in Boasso Global
    • acquisition of a 20% stake in Sempra Infrastructure Partners
    • acquisition of a majority stake in Telefónica Chile’s existing fiber optic network to establish Chile’s first open access wholesale fiber optics company
    • agreement with Telefónica Hispanoamérica and Entel Perú to acquire a majority interest in PangeaCo and the existing fiber optic networks of Telefónica del Perú and Entel Perú to build Perú’s first nationwide open access wholesale fiber optics company
