A case study written by bankruptcy associate Christopher Jarvinen was recently published in Kluwer Law International's International Corporate Rescue. In the case study, Christopher describes how Brazil's largest family-owned manufacturer of confectionary products is one of the first companies to successfully reorganize through a Recuperação Judicial, a court-supervised bankruptcy proceeding authorized by Brazil's new bankruptcy and restructuring law. A Recuperação Judicial is similar to the chapter 11 process in the United States.
