Paul, Weiss was featured in The American Lawyer as one of a handful of Big Law firms cornering a majority of the largest bankruptcies of 2023, in an article published on April 25. With corporate bankruptcies on the rebound after a historically slow 2022, Paul, Weiss’s restructuring group is representing several debtors that have filed Chapter 11 petitions in 2023 with assets and liabilities in the billions, including Diamond Sports and National CineMedia, among others.
The article also highlights how the U.S. retail sector continues to represent a significant number of large corporate filings. Paul, Weiss recently obtained court approval for iconic beauty company Revlon’s plan of reorganization under chapter 11, trimming $2.7 billion of debt and allowing the company to exit bankruptcy.
