Cumulus Media Begins Chapter 11 Proceedings

Paul, Weiss is representing radio broadcasting company Cumulus Media Inc. and certain of its affiliates in connection with their chapter 11 cases in the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Prior to filing, Cumulus entered into a Restructuring Support Agreement with certain of its secured lenders, among others, which will result in a reduction of the Company’s debt by more than $1 billion. The Company also filed its plan of reorganization and disclosure statement, outlining a restructuring plan to give term lenders take-back paper and 83.5% of reorganized equity, with the unsecured notes receiving the balance of the equity. The confirmation hearing is scheduled for five days beginning April 12, 2018.
