Corporate counsel Menachem Kaplan moderated a panel titled "LTE Licensing from the Licensor's Perspective" at the Licensing Executives Society's 2014 Mid-Year Conference held in New York. The panel included representatives Fabian Gonell, Vice President and Director of Technology Licensing from Qualcomm, Niklas Ostman, Senior Director, Patent Licensing from Microsoft and Bill Merritt, Chief Executive Officer of InterDigital. The panel was followed by a lunch with Judge Holderman of the Eastern District of Illinois discussing judicial determinations around setting FRAND/RAND rates.
