In an effort to reform the U.S. financial system and reduce systemic risk, Congress passed, and on July 21, 2010 the President signed into law, the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. The Act will impact foreign private issuers that are listed in the United States or otherwise have SEC reporting obligations.
