Paul, Weiss Announces Election of Three New Partners

Three new partners have been elected to the partnership effective January 1, 2013: Salvatore Gogliormella, Michael S. Hong and William B. Michael. All three are resident in Paul, Weiss's New York office.

Salvatore Gogliormella will become a partner in the real estate department, where he focuses his practice on the acquisition, development, financing, restructuring and disposition of real estate assets. Mr. Gogliormella also has extensive experience in the hospitality sector as well as in the formation of real estate funds. Mr. Gogliormella clerked for the Honorable Charles P. Sifton of the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York. Mr. Gogliormella received his J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he served as Staff Editor and Associate Editor of the NYU Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif, and his A.B. from Harvard College.
Michael S. Hong will become a partner in the corporate department and is a member of the firm's Private Funds Group. Mr. Hong focuses his practice on the formation of investment funds, including buyout funds, hedge funds, hybrid funds, distressed funds and funds of funds. Mr. Hong obtained his joint J.D./M.B.A. from the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law and Joseph L. Rotman School of Management. He was awarded the Gerald W. Schwartz Gold Medal upon his graduation from the Faculty of Law and was a Dean's List student during his time at the Joseph L. Rotman School of Management. Mr. Hong served as a Senior Editor of the University of Toronto Law Review. He received his B.Comm from the University of Toronto with high distinction.
William B. Michael will become a partner in the litigation department, where he focuses on antitrust litigation, including both civil and criminal government investigations, as well as general litigation and appellate matters. Prior to joining Paul, Weiss, Mr. Michael served as a trial attorney in the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice, where he worked on a variety of civil merger and non-merger investigations in the telecommunications and media industries. Mr. Michael clerked for the Honorable Barrington D. Parker of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Mr. Michael received his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he served as Senior Editor of the Yale Law Journal. He received his B.A. from Columbia University summa cum laude.
