- January 22, 2025
Corporate Department Chair Scott Barshay will speak on a panel, “Activism in 2025: What to Expect and How to Advise the Board,” at the American College of Governance Counsel’s virtual roundtable. The panel will consider what companies and their advisors can expect in the 2025 annual meeting season, share their extensive experience working on behalf of and against activist shareholders, and consider how the anticipated greater flexibility and liquidity for M&A transactions and potentially reduced antitrust roadblocks may impact activists, among other topics. The College, an organization of leading corporate governance lawyers from the U.S. and Canada, is a professional, educational and honorary association organized to promote a high level of professional standards for those engaged in the governance practice.
Scott’s panel will take place on January 22 at 12 p.m. ET.
