Litigation associates Anouck Giovanola and Ankush Khardori were honored with the Harriett Goldberg Fair Housing Award by Westchester Residential Opportunities, Inc. (WRO). Each year, the board of directors of WRO select individuals to be recognized for their commitment to fair housing. Anouck and Ankush litigated a fair housing complaint on behalf of WRO at the Westchester Human Rights Commission. Litigation associate Sarah Johnson provided invaluable assistance with the post-hearing brief.
WRO champions the expansion of nondiscriminatory housing opportunities for low and moderate-income households, minorities, senior citizens and persons with disabilities. The awards ceremony occurred at WRO's annual meeting on November 9.
