On June 25, 2010, a House-Senate conference committee reached agreement on the text of the conference report for the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. The Act contains several procedural and substantive provisions that are designed to facilitate enforcement of the securities laws through civil litigation and expand the scope of available remedies.
