Litigation partner Catherine Nyarady’s latest intellectual property litigation column, “Personal Jurisdiction Arising From Patent Notice Letters,” appeared in the May 11 issue of the New York Law Journal. Catherine discusses two recent Federal Circuit cases that have clarified that notice letters sent by an out-of-state patent holder into a forum state might create personal jurisdiction in that state over the patent holder.
