- October 10, 2018
Firm chairman Brad Karp was named the 2018 New York Law Journal “Attorney of the Year.” Brad was recognized for his pro bono commitment and leadership in the private bar on numerous issues of critical public interest, including his op-eds in the New York Times criticizing the administration’s now-reversed policy of separating children from their parents at the border and promoting efforts to reduce gun violence. The publication also cited Brad’s extraordinary success in guiding the firm to consistently stronger financial performance and his numerous wins in the courtroom.
In addition, corporate partner Bob Schumer was recognized as a 2018 Distinguished Leader. Paul, Weiss longtime client Endeavor was recognized as “Best Legal Department for Outside Counsel Management.” Thomson Reuters – a friend of the firm and collaborative partner on diversity, inclusion and other issues – also won an in-house recognition for Diversity & Quality of Life.
The winners were announced at the New York Legal Awards “Professional Excellence” event on October 10 in New York City.
