Litigation partners Chris Boehning and Dan Toal along with senior manager of practice support Ross Gotler, authored an article that appeared in the November 5 issue of the New York Law Journal. The article discusses the importance of creating and understanding a data map -- a detailed representation of the type and location of all electronically stored information (ESI) -- of a company's system and related policies. The process, though daunting, is a great first step in managing electronic discovery and can assist the company should litigation arise, providing counsel more time to focus on the merits and legal strategy. Litigation associate Bilal Faruqi assisted in the preparation of the article.
