1L Summer Program

Program Description:

Our 2025 1L Summer Program offers talented first-year law students the opportunity to work at Paul, Weiss during their 1L summer. Participants in the 1L Summer Program will be included in all aspects of the firm’s Summer Program including training, mentoring, work assignments and social activities. The weekly salary for 1L summer associates will be the same as that of 2L summer associates. Upon successful completion of the 1L Summer Program, participants will be eligible to receive an offer to return to the firm as a 2L summer associate in 2026.

Participants in our 1L Summer Program will have the opportunity to apply for the 2025 1L LCLD Scholars Program. Application Process:

The application period for our 2025 1L Summer Program will open on December 1, 2024, at which point a link to our application portal will be posted. Applicants will need to provide the following:

  • Resumé
  • Cover letter/statement of interest indicating departmental interests (approx. 500 words)
  • Undergraduate transcript
  • Unofficial law school transcript (any first semester grades unavailable by the application deadline can be added to your application once received)

The deadline to submit applications is January 15, 2025.

Salary:

Paul, Weiss summer associates are paid an annualized salary of $225,000, prorated for the number of weeks worked.
