Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP announced today that Deeksha Rathi has joined the firm in London as a partner in the Tax Department. Rathi advises corporate clients on a range of UK and international tax matters, including the tax aspects of M&A and corporate finance transactions.
“Deeksha is a talented adviser who has worked on a range of sophisticated tax matters,” said Paul, Weiss Chairman Brad S. Karp. “Her expertise will help strengthen our ability to advise clients across the UK and beyond on the tax implications of their most critical transactions.”

Rathi advises a broad range of domestic and international clients on all areas of UK corporate tax law, including high-value, complex M&A, corporate finance transactions, and disputes and settlements with HMRC. Her representative transactions include, among others, The 1887 Company on its sale of The Famous Grouse and Naked Malt scotch whisky brands to William Grant & Sons; Arrow Global on its acquisition of Amitra Capital; Videndum on its capital raising; and Orchard Therapeutics on its acquisition by Kyowa Kirin.
Rathi earned a LL.B., with honors, from Amity Law School in India; and both a Bachelor of Civil Law and a Doctor of Philosophy in Tax Law from the University of Oxford. She is admitted to practice in the UK and India.
