Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP announced today that Hannah Goût will join the firm as Senior European Risk & Compliance Counsel, resident in London. Goût will oversee the firm’s risk management and compliance strategy across Europe.
“Hannah is a highly respected and accomplished risk and compliance professional who will play a key role in ensuring that our London office continues to operate at the highest standard of quality, integrity and professionalism,” said Neel Sachdev, co-head of the London office. “Hannah will support our rapidly growing and diverse team of lawyers and staff and enhance our ability to serve our clients on complex and challenging matters across the region and beyond.”
Goût has held strategic risk and compliance roles at leading UK and U.S. law firms in London for over a decade and most recently served as Global Deputy General Counsel at a U.S.-headquartered international law firm. Across these roles, she has advised on all aspects of compliance, ethics and risk management, including regulatory risk, anti-money laundering and conflicts. Goût began her legal career as an associate at a Magic Circle firm, spending over a decade advising trustees and companies on regulation, corporate transactions and restructurings before moving over to the same firm’s global risk management team.
“It is an incredibly exciting time to join Paul, Weiss, a distinguished global firm that has one of the foremost private equity practices in London and the broader European market,” Goût said. “I look forward to working with the talented team of lawyers and staff in London and across the firm’s global network, and to contributing to the firm’s continued success and growth in Europe.”
Goût earned an M.A. in History from Selwyn College, University of Cambridge, before completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Law at BPP, London. She is admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales.
