Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP announced today that Miko Bradford has joined the firm as chief operating officer, senior legal counsel to the Debt Finance and High Yield Group in London. In this role, Bradford will enhance the firm’s talent management, knowledge, data and client service capabilities in the European market.
“We could not be more thrilled about the addition of Miko, who brings both exceptional legal know-how, market and data knowledge and an in-depth understanding of leveraged finance to our rapidly growing office,” said Neel Sachdev, co-head of the London office and global co-chair of Finance and Capital Markets. “Miko’s experience as a partner at major law firms and as a consultant to legal and financial professionals make her a perfect fit for this unique role.”
Bradford has over 25 years of experience in legal practice, talent development and practice management to the firm. Recently, she was a partner at another global law firm, where she advised on complex and innovative financing transactions across various sectors and jurisdictions and played a key role in developing the firm’s finance and capital markets practices in London. She also has experience working as a counsel at another major firm, where she worked on cross-border transactions involving leveraged finance and restructuring.
Bradford has a particular interest in the impact of technology on the legal industry, especially in the areas of artificial intelligence and data analytics. She was a co-founder of Bluepeak Search & Consulting, a boutique firm that provides strategic and operational solutions for law firms and legal professionals, and previously worked as a senior consultant at 9fin, a fintech platform that offers data and intelligence on the European leveraged finance market.
Bradford began her legal career in New Zealand, where she earned her law degree with honors from the University of Auckland. She also holds an LL.M. from the University of Chicago.
