Capital Markets Partner Joins Paul, Weiss in London

Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP announced today that Uma Sud has joined the firm as a partner in the Capital Markets Group within the Corporate Department, resident in London. Sud advises leading private equity sponsors, companies and banks on finance transactions, with a particular focus on high-yield debt offerings in Europe.

Sud’s representations include, among others, TDR Capital and I Squared Capital in their acquisition of a majority stake in Applus Services; TDR Capital and Stonegate Pub Company on multiple financing transactions, including their acquisition of Ei Group; and funds advised by Apax and Takko Fashion Group on Takko’s cross-border restructuring.  

Sud earned a B.A./LL.B., with honors, from The W.B. National University of Juridical Sciences in India and a LL.M. from Harvard Law School.
