Corporate partner Jim Langston spoke with Reuters for an article interviewing top deal advisors about their expectations for M&A activity in the second half of the year. In the article, “Dealmakers optimistic on global M&A prospects despite sluggish growth,” published June 28, Jim notes the relative strength of the U.S. market as companies assess their strategic options.
"The growth rates in the U.S. continue to be more attractive than most other places in the Western world, and the U.S. capital markets are deeper than anywhere else,” Jim says. “So if you're a U.S. corporate, the bar to investing outside the U.S. has gotten higher."
